BENETEAU got 2 awards for “boat of the year” in Slovenia !

Most important Slovenian nautical magazine »Val nautica« organized for the 5th time Boat of the Year Awards. So far Beneteau in Slovenia received 2 awards for First 27.7 and last year for Antares 8.8.
This year we had 4 nominated boats: First 50, Oceanis 40, Antares 7 and MonteCarlo 37. We proudly announce, that this year Beneteau got award for 2 models: sailing yacht FIRST 50 and motor boat MONTECARLO 37!
Competition for “Boat of the Year” was a bit different than so far. It is for the first time that the competition was for three different awards by three different jury.
The 1st award, was given to 7 different categories (4 categories for motor boats and 3 categories for sailing yachts). Jury in this level was one of the most important Slovenian nautical architect and designer, Mr. Jernej Jakopin from J & J Design (Seaway, Shipman, Skagen…ect). Mr. Jakopin announced BOAT OF THE YEAR 2007 to FIRST 50 in 3rd category of sailing yachts. At this opportunity he wrote: “This is intelligent product with high level of industrial design. This is perfect example, how successful industrial design today looks like.”
2nd award for “Boat of the Year” was given by editorial office of magazine Val nautica. They choose one best sailing yacht and one best motor boat, that they had chance to try out on the sea. For this award editorial office gave award just to one sailing yacht and to one motor boat. The best motor boat of the year is new Monte Carlo 37! They wrote that this motor boat is designed by Pierangelo Andreani and that the boat is designed with high class modern design and with spacious and light interior. They mentioned also innovative Air Step hull.
3rd awards are not given yet. In this level “Boat of The Year” will be selected by people via internet. Results of this awards will be announced on Internautica boat show that will took place in Marina Portorož (Slovenia) from 8th till 13th of May 2007.

At motor boats Beneteau has Antares 7 in 1st category and MonteCarlo 37 in 2nd category. At sailing yachts Beneteau has Oceanis 40 at 2nd category and First 50 at 3rd category.
