Mediterranean Yacht Sales Ltd, under the auspices of the Royal Malta Yacht Club, is proud to announce it is organising a seminar for all cruising and racing yachtsmen.   This event will be held over a weekend, and will cover 2 main areas – Sails, and Instrumentation.

A representative from North Sails will be describing and discussing the technology that goes into cruising and racing sails, discussing sail trim and sail maintenance, and to give a practical demonstration on the effects of rig setting on the performance of the sails.   Another representative, from Brookes & Gatehouse electronics, will be discussing the attributes of a modern instrumentation system, emphasising how data is derived, the importance of calibration, and giving some in-depth information on how to make the most of instrumentation, tactical and navigation software, for both the cruising, and racing sailor.

The aim of this seminar, is to give cruising and racing sailors a better understanding of their equipment, how to make the most of it, and how to make educated decisions when the time comes to upgrade or replace, irrespective of the brand.   The seminar will be held in March, although the dates have yet to be finalised.
