The Maxprop has given sailing enthusiasts a better alternative to the usual trade off between either a fixed prop (good engine performance/slow under sail) or the folding prop (good sailing performance/poor engine performance). The Maxprop is engineered to a dedicated pitch in forward, an opposing pitch in reverse and a feathering position whilst under sail. These three positions enable good power in forward, maximum efficiency in reverse and reduced drag under sail.
